Day 106: May 31st
Little man is doing fairly well today. Some bumps in the road, but not too bad.
Tori had him again for his day shift. She mentioned he projectile vomited around his afternoon feed.. nearly hitting another nurse across the room. She said afterwards, he had a pretty severe brady event that required a lot of stimulation to get him to catch his breath.. Which adds 5 days of monitoring. He seems to have been throwing up more of his food since starting the NeoSure and in larger. Plus the vaccines often cause apnea and bradycardia events for the first 48-72 hours. Tori said she noticed Ryker just doesn’t do well on eating when he’s tired, and the vaccines definitely have pooped him out.
As far as feeds go, he didn’t meet his minimum during day shift yesterday, was shy of his minimum during night shift, and once again failed his minimum during today day shift.. If this continues, they’ll have to put his feeding tube back in.. gah.
