Day 109: June 3rd

Ryker is doing really well today. His spit ups have been a bit less. He was about 35mls shy of his minimums overnight, but only 4 ml’s during the day shift today. Doing considerably well!

As far as the game plan for respiratory care.. Tomorrow they will do an echo while they take him off of oxygen, just to see if they can see signs of pulmonary hypertension, or if there’s some other reason that his hindering his ability to sustain his O2’s.. From there, they’ll decide whether or not to do another dose of steroids to give him that extra boost to mature his lungs to a point where we’re not having to worry about him dropping his Saturation % in such a short period of time. Looking forward to getting some answers.

This was the first day I had both girls with me in Denver since Nick had to head back north for work. We managed the day pretty well with visits with Ryker. I’m glad we have some time to gradually transition to having all 3 at once. Life is going to be nuts, but well worth it!

This evening, the girls and I stopped at DQ for a treat to celebrate Addi’s excellent grades this year. She’s scoring above grade level in all of her tests! We’re so proud of her, and love that she enjoys school and learning so much! So we told her she could pick a treat, and she requested a dipped ice cream cone. Can you tell she’s excited?! I wish I could have captured Zylee’s face when she had her first bite of ice cream. It was scrunched in shock and uncertainty of what she just ate (probably didn’t expect it to be so cold!) followed by a “mmmmmmmmm… good!” Goofy girls!
