Day 15: March 1… 2lbs 15.4oz
2 weeks old! I’m not sure where the time has gone. Ryker had a calmer day today. They are still doing measures of his head circumference to monitor excessive head growth from the back up of cerebral fluid. Now that they have a little more data about him, the doctors have touched base with the neurologists to get more of a game plan of when we would have to be transferred over. Unfortunately, there is no rigid number for rate of growth, but they want to look at an overall change throughout the week before they make a decision on how to proceed. Again, we’re hoping the clot just starts breaking up on it’s own, and we don’t have to go down the road of surgery..
I did snuggles and Ryker did so good! We got a good hour and a half (and could have gone longer) this time around. Earlier in the week he’d get agitated after about 30-40 minutes in, so it was great progress! We both needed it.
Nick showed up this afternoon to my surprise. It was so nice.. After the update of Ryker’s ultrasound, I needed the extra support near by.
The NICU nurses have also started their crafting. I absolutely loved this when we were in the NICU with Zylee. It adds a touch of happiness to a stressful journey. <3
