Day 25 : March 11th… 3lbs 12.3oz Head Circumference: 27.94cm
Ryker had a calm day. Results came back negative for respiratory infection, X-Ray to check his lungs today came back perfect, and blood gas tested better after his adjustments to his ventilator from the day prior. His Neurosurgeon stopped by early this morning and mentioned to his nurse that he was pleased with the continued progress. They still didn’t have a report back from radiology about the head ultrasound.. the only update they had was neurology put in a request to UC Health for prior ultrasounds they had taken. Hoping to learn more tomorrow. Ryker’s head had measured down to 28cm as of yesterday though, 1.5cm less than prior to surgery. The transformation is really noticeable though! His head is looking smaller and more proportionate to the rest of his body. Overall it was a good day, and he had a chance to rest and grow. They’ve started to work on weaning him off the ventilator this evening. We’ll see what progress he makes overnight.
