Day 45: March 31st
Ryker has had another good day today. They’ve decided to bump his feeds to 2 hours long every 3 hours. His blood sugars have come back well, hopefully he doesn’t have any issues of spit up.
I did inquire about the VP shunt. It sounds like they are still happy with how the subgaleal shunt is functioning at the moment, and want to wait it out until he’s a bit older and more stable on his respiratory care and feeds. His head ultrasound showed no new bleeds although the size of his ventricals have swapped. In other words, the one side that looked bigger is now smaller compared to the other. Although, from what the doctors had mentioned, it sounds like this is common. They’ll continue his weekly head ultrasounds to confirm all looks good.
Addi and I took Nick and Zylee to the mini golf place we visited over spring break. It was Zylee’s first time. She did decently well, although a nap beforehand probably would have been ideal…
