Day 47: April 2nd

Another quiet day for little man! He is now measuring 17.3” long and 5lbs!! Nearly doubled his birth weight and narrowing in on 3” longer. His nurse also said he tolerated his prong mask for his CPAP for 6 hours, which is incredible. He would be lucky to last an hour in the past. Makes me feel good that he’ll tolerate the cannula prongs well hopefully sometime in the near future. They are just waiting for the caffeine to wear off to confirm he doesn’t have any episodes of Apnea and bradycardia before they switch. Baby steps! His pocket of fluid on his is a little fuller today than usual, but it’s a sign that it’s still working and draining fluid from his brain. It just takes longer to absorb when it’s in the scalp.
